This spring marks numerous firsts for Henzel Studio. The Swedish rug manufacturer headed up by Calle Henzel and Joakim Andreasson is known for its coordinated efforts with craftsmen and mold planners, Mickalene Thomas and Helmut Lang among them.
Presently, in conjunction with Art Basel Hong Kong, Henzel has taken off pieces by two new craftsman partners, displaying them in Asia out of the blue at the city’s lead of Joyce, thought about a vanguard of design retail. Through May, the store show highlights three new covers by Norwegian painter Bjarne Melgaard and one by Swiss stone carver Olaf Breuning. They’re sprinkled with cushions in comparable examples and additionally existing mat versions by any semblance of Richard Prince.
